#plasticfreejuly Day 16: Coffee Filters

Day 16: Reusable Coffee Filters

Ok, I know, coffee filters are made of paper. But when purchased they are usually plastic wrapped. Here's an easy way to skip that all together!

Reusable coffee filters!

We purchased ours from a small business in Austin Texas called CoffeeSocks. They come in several sizes and styles. I have purchased the #4 style for our coffee maker at the office, and the #2 style for my own personal coffee maker at home.

Most of the time I use a french press but on days when I have to make multiple cups the reusable filters come in super handy!

They come packaged in recyclable or compostable box and have no plastic parts.

The best thing is you can use and reuse. The filters are made of organic cotton and vary in price depending on style.
