#plasticfreejuly Day 17-19: Plastic Free July Fail!

Day 17th-19th: We used so much single use disposables!

It kills me to write this! These last few days we've hosted family from out of town and it made me realize how much I still need to learn in this journey. Since I am on a minimalism and zero waste journey; I don't have many plates. I literally only own three dinner size plates, and there was over a dozen people here. 

It made me realize that I need to have a 'party set' of utensils and dinnerware for entertaining. All the scraps of food we had that could be compost; I set aside. However we still ended up using a bunch of disposable plates, cups, and flatware. I'm going to be on the look out for alternative options that don't take up as much space to store.

These last few days have a been a total plastic free July fail, but tomorrow is a new day!

I'm going to catch up some much needed rest.
