Day 20th: Take the time to Educate Others

We are regulars at Texas Roadhouse. And by regulars; I mean we are there every Wednesday for Discount Steak Night. One of the reasons I enjoy going there is that they use little to no single use plastic. Everything is served on plates, and utensils are wrapped with a cloth napkin. The only single use product that they use is straws. 

We always make sure to request no straws. Our usual waitress knows and sometimes they remember us and they themselves mention "No straws right!" 

Yesterday we had a server we've never had before. We forgot to mentioned we didn't need straws,  but we figured we'd just reject them when they brought them over. That wasn't the case since the straws were already in the cups when we received them. No biggie, it's not the end of the world. 

That's when I remembered I had my 'No Straw' cards and new straws in my bag. So when we paid our ticket, I left a card and a straw.
