#plasticfreejuly Day 3

Day 3 Tip: Wet bags are your BFF!

If you have a young child in the potty training stages this sight is all too familiar.

The dreaded zip bag with the day's soiled clothing. These bags usually end up in the trash, because who wants to wash and reuse disposable zip bags. Ain't nobody got time for that!

Accidents for my little one are far and few between. I learned early on, the best way to avoid these plastic bags was to send her change of clothes in a washable wet bag.
Luckily, I had a bunch of these on hand from our cloth diaper years. One of my favorite wet bags are the Smart Bottoms On The Go. They're big enough to fit a whole change of clothes and more.

I pack a fresh set of clothes and send it on its way to daycare. Whenever I receive a set of soiled clothes I just dump the entire contents and the bag in the wash. I always machine wash and hang to dry and my bags have lasted me over 4 years now. I have a variety for all different uses.

Here's a closer look.

Pic 1: The bags feature a snap clip that is easy to hang on the side of the crib, changing table, stroller, or bathroom rail.
Pic 2: The inside is line with PUL material to stop the fabric from soaking through. There's lots of fun prints to pick from!
Picture 3: The zipper runs along the length of the bag making it easy to use with bulky items.
